Jim Freedman

Chairman and Managing Director, Intrepid Investment Bankers

Jim Freedman is managing director, chairman, and founding principal of Intrepid Investment Bankers. He has more than 35 years of investment banking and corporate finance experience and is an expert on the financial aspects of corporate strategy. In 1982, he founded Barrington Associates, the predecessor firm to Intrepid, which was sold to Wells Fargo Securities in 2006. He has acted as the principal financial adviser in hundreds of capital raisings and merger and acquisition transactions ranging in value from $20 million to $1 billion. Freedman serves on the boards of the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Anderson School of Management, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and the Concern Foundation for Cancer Research.
