Authorities in Bermuda found the body of a Philadelphia college freshman Monday hours after he went missing during a trip with his school rugby team.

Officials found the body of 19-year-old Mark Dombroski, a St. Joseph’s University student, in a ditch in Devonshire following an intensive search, police said.

Authorities declined to comment on Dombroski’s cause of death and have not ruled out foul play.

He was last seen around 1 a.m. Sunday while he was relaxing at The Dog House in Hamilton.

The Delaware native is a member of the university’s rugby team, which took part in a college tournament last week.

His family reported him missing Sunday morning after he failed to travel with his team back to the U.S.

Lisa Dombroski said her son injured his shoulder during the tournament and “wasn’t feeling well” before his disappearance.

Officials said Dombroski was at The Dog House early Sunday, but failed to meet the team to return home later that afternoon.

“He wasn’t enjoying the party atmosphere as some of the boys were,” she told The Associated Press. “I think he probably wanted to get back to where they were staying.”

St. Joseph’s University released a statement offering its condolences to Dombroski’s family and friends and said it was offering counseling to its students.
