Rhys Priestland will return to the Bath Rugby starting XV to face his former side Scarlets in the European Champions Cup on Friday night (Oct 20).

The Welshman has been out of action due to a patella knee tendon injury, but he is fit again and will replace Josh Lewis at fly-half at Parc y Scarlets.

Another player completing his comeback is Nathan Catt, who could make his 150th appearance for the club after being named amongst the replacements along with Matt Banahan.

Anthony Watson, Semesa Rokoduguni and Aled Brew, who have eight tries between them already this season, continue in the back three positions for the trip to Wales.

Max Clark and Jonathan Joseph form the centre partnership, while Kahn Fotuali’i partners Priestland in the half-back combination.

Beno Obano looks on

Beno Obano, Tom Dunn and Anthony Perenise line up in the front row, with captain Charlie Ewels joining Luke Charteris in the second row.

Zach Mercer and Taulupe Faletau will be keen to assert their authority on the game from the back row against last season’s Pro12 champions.

They will be joined by Sam Underhill, who is available despite leaving the pitch during Bath's 23-0 win against Benetton Rugby with what Todd Blackadder described as a "migraine".

Francois Louw is unavailable for selection after being suspended for three weeks for making contact with the eye area of Benetton Rugby lock Marco Fuser in Saturday's victory.
