Romanian PM, Egypt's Madbouly Discuss Boosting Bilateral Relations

Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă expressed his happiness during his visit to Egypt which aimed to foster relations between the two countries.

During a press conference with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Ciucă affirmed that they will continue to maintain strong bilateral ties.

He added that there are many areas of cooperation between Romania and Egypt, stressing the need to discuss all means for further trade relations between the two sides.

Ciucă expressed his confidence in continuing coordination with Egypt in dealing with all issues of common interest. He asserted that his country will fulfill all the requirements to provide what Egypt needs.

The Romanian PM pointed out that Egypt was affected by the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, stressing his country's commitment to its role in strengthening cooperation with Egypt and the African continent. 

On his part, Madbouly highlighted that the trade exchange value between Egypt and Romania exceeded $1 billion in 2022.

He called on Romania to increase the import of grain to Egypt, being one of the main producers of grain at the level of Europe and worldwide.
