Bianca shares lead in Mexico

MANILA, Philippines — Bianca Pagdanganan fired a four-under 68 for a slice of the lead in the Mexico Riviera Maya Open Thursday at the El Camaleon Mayakoba Golf Course in Mexico.
Teeing off in the morning wave, Pagdanganan racked up birdies on Nos. 1, 5, 10 and 11 then capped it off with a birdie on the 18th that offset a bogey on the 16th.
The 27-year-old shared the summit with Japan’s Chisato Iwai, Korea’s Jenny Shin, and the USA’s Brianna Do, up by one stroke against Aline Krauter, Jenny Bae, Minami Katsu, Olivia Cowan, and Hye Jin Choi, who shot identical 69s.
Dottie Ardina, the other Philippine bet in the $2.5-million event, carded a 74 after mixing three bogeys and a lone birdie. Ardina sat at joint 48th – one shot above the projected cutoff line.
