One of Australia's top chefs has revealed that the best burger in the world comes from a little-known shop in Victoria.
Renowned Attica chef Ben Shewry raved about Andrew's Hamburgers in Albert Park, located just 4km south of Melbourne's CBD.
The family-owned burger joint first opened its doors in 1939, making it a long-running hamburger institution that's been serving old-school menu items for 86 years.
Foodies have travelled far and wide to try the classics - including Andrew's burger with the lot - which hasn't changed in almost nine decades.
'I think Andrew's Hamburgers in Albert Park is the best hamburger in the world,' Shewry told Australian businessman and Shark Tank judge Nick Bell.
Famous faces have walked through the doors of the humble burger joint - including Ed Sheeran, who made a surprise visit during his Australian tour in early 2023.
There are just nine types of burgers from the menu, ranging from the Rusty American and Smokey Robinson to the classic options like beef, chicken and steak.
The restaurant is buzzing with customers every day, with many diners waiting up to 30 minutes during busy lunch hours.

What customers - young and old - love about Andrew's Hamburgers is that the recipe hasn't changed in 86 years, evoking a sense of nostalgia with every bite.
'Andrew's has been hands down my go-to burger for nearly three decades. Grew up on them as a special Friday night takeaway treat. Now I'll go out of my way to get one. No other place has ever come close to the classic lot,' one raved.
'It's hard to beat! So fresh and so clean. Arguably the best burger in the state. Only downside is the wait times as it gets very busy on Saturday nights. Pre-order and you are golden,' another shared.
'I have been eating burgers in this place for 12 years, quality and taste has not changed since day one,' one revealed.
'Quality old school burger with the lot. Childhood memories. Fresh everything,' another added.
