Greg Taylor has become the latest Kilmarnock player to agree a new long-term deal at Rugby Park after signing an extension until 2021.

The left back has been in excellent form this season, improving under Steve Clarke as Killie have climbed the table with the former West Brom boss in the dugout.

And he follows Gary Dicker, Greg Kiltie, Alan Power, Eamonn Brophy and Rory McKenzie who have all signed fresh terms in recent weeks.

Clarke's impact since his arrival has been spectacular and Kilmarnock are dreaming of European football next season.

The Scotland U21 star is over the moon after extending his stay in Ayrshire and Taylor admits he didn't have to think twice about penning a new deal.

He told Kilmarnock's official website : "It was an easy decision. It's certainly the most positive since I've been at the club.

"We're winning games and the fans are turning out, we're all enjoying it and the boys are signing new deals.

Greg Taylor drills home his wonder goal against Brazil

"It's been a bit of a whirlwind, the aim was always to play in the first team and long may that continue."

The 20-year-old famously netted for Scotland's U20 side against Brazil in the Toulon Tournament and he's knows full well that it's high time he scored for his club as well.

Taylor joked: "It's coming. I think that's 80-odd games and I don't even want to talk about how bad that's been."
