
Governor Abbott Appoints Broom To Aerospace And Aviation Advisory Committee

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Chris Broom to the Aerospace and Aviation Advisory Committee for a term set to expire on September 1, 2027. The Committee assists in the state’s economic development efforts to recruit and retain aerospace and aviation jobs and investments in Texas.
Chris Broom of Dallas is the vice president of Commercial Training Solutions for Boeing Global Services. He previously worked for American Airlines for 27 years culminating as managing director of the Flight and Training Administration. He is a member of the USS Yorktown Association Board of Directors and an executive sponsor for the North Texas chapter of the Boeing Veteran Engagement Team. Additionally, he served as member, vice-president, and president of the Susan G. Komen – Dallas Board of Directors and served on the St. Mark’s School of Texas Alumni Board of Directors. Broom received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.
