Legacy Community Health Announces New CEO: Robert Palussek

"Since stepping into the interim CEO role in November, Robert has demonstrated steady leadership and a deep commitment to the values that define our organization," said Ryan Martin, Legacy Services Board Chair. "Under his guidance, we have continued to deliver high-quality care, support our frontline teams, and strengthen our community impact."

The Board of Directors conducted a careful and thoughtful selection process before naming Palussek as CEO. The decision reflects the Board’s confidence in his vision, experience, and proven leadership to guide Legacy forward.

During a period when stability and compassion in leadership are more important than ever, Palussek has shown an unwavering focus on patient-centered care. Palussek brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience in operations, finance, and business development. His background as Legacy’s COO over the last two years provides a strong foundation for operational excellence in the new fiscal year and beyond.

“I am honored to lead Legacy into the future with a continued focus on high quality healthcare services and an exceptional patient experience for more than 200,000 patients who trust us with their care,” said Palussek. “It’s an exciting time at Legacy as we are set to open two new clinics in 2026 in Acres Homes and Pasadena, funded by a more than $50 million gift from Houston Methodist.”
